This is pair of second hand LVC 1947 501XX jeans. The fabric is made at the legendary Cone Mills White Oak. The factory sadly shut down 2017 which meant an end to a 112 year long partnership with Levi's. When reading the care label on the inside one can read that this pair was made in the fall of 2006.

The 501 from 1947 is perhaps the most iconic and classic model of jeans ever made. It was designed during post war America and intended to be worn by the growing middle class in a country that was looking at a brighter future, leaving the great depression and the war behind. Blue jeans became the outfit of this era and Levi's was one of the big names when it came to dress the population in sturdy denim garments! The 1947 Levi's 501 deserves its reputation as the mother of modern jeans. Its normal waist height and straight fit looks just as fine today as it did back in the 40's and it's no surprise that the 1947 501 is the most copied jeans today. Most Japanese brands have their own version of these jeans with some smaller changes and details. If you are looking for a classic pair of Levi's jeans these are the ones to go for! They have proven to stand the test of time and will most likely continue to do so for decades to come.

The 1947 501 model has a normal rise with a straight leg. Please note that these jeans run small in the waist, so make sure to check the measurements for best fit.

These jeans are second hand. They show clear signs of wear and has been mended in the crotch, knees & front pockets. Front pocket bags got small holes from lots of wear. See pictures for a details about the condition.

Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment or an email when you place your order and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you.

For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. The thigh measurements are taken 10 centimeters down from the crotch straight across the pant leg.
