- Introducing the Shizen Selvedge Denim, the first collaboration between Samurai Jeans and Blue Owl. This collection combines Samurai's homegrown "Cotton Project" cotton with a range of natural overdyes, made exclusively for Blue Owl. Roughly translated to "Red Color" the Akane dye receives it's color from fermented vegetable madder resulting in a light dye combining Japanese heritage and organic chemistry.
Grown, harvested, and woven in Japan, this collector's edition denim was originally conceptualized as a passion-project by Samurai Jeans founder Toru Nogami to produce a completely made in Japan denim from seed to stitch. Fittingly named the "Samurai Cotton Project," this 18oz selvedge denim sports a highly-visible slub and nep. The jeans come packed with symbolism referencing the brand's traditional warrior ethos including special edition iron buttons, jacquard pocket bags, back pocket rivets, and a custom co-branded leather patch.- Blue Owl exclusive
